 The Art of Australian Bush

I have worked as an ecologist in the Australian landscape for over 20 years, developing a deep connection to the intricate relationships that shape our natural world. This understanding—and respect for the environment—flows directly into my art.

Having lived in coastal areas, I’m continually inspired by both bush and beach—two environments that offer contrasting yet connected rhythms and forms.

Much of my inspiration comes from time spent hiking, trekking, and camping across Australia and New Zealand. Immersed in these landscapes, I’m drawn to the diversity of ecological vegetation communities and the sheer immensity of the environment.

My work reflects these experiences—responding to the patterns, textures, and interactions I encounter along the way. I allow each place to guide the creative process, following where the landscape leads and what it reveals.
